I have a Eureka Solitaire one person tent I use when just staying the night somewhere. I have a Walmart $40 special (I think it's an Ozark somethin or other) that I use when spending two or more days somewhere. It's a three person; but it fits me and my gear and that's about it lol.

Thank you very much, sorry I didn't see this before. So awesome to have all of this info on here. Thanks again!

Since you are local, you should check out Sierra Trading Post in Reno next to Whole Foods. They usually have great deals on tents, most of which are pretty good quality.

Does anyone have any experience with Big Agnes tents? I was looking at some of their mtnGLO line which have interior lighting and some even offer built in Goal Zero solar panels and batteries for charging mobile devices and powering in-tent fans. Just curious how this stuff stood up over time.

I have owned and tested many Big Agnes products including several tents. Very high quality, damn good design as well. They really build good shit. I have not tested the mountain glow, but think it's a cool idea. Knowing them, they likely built it with quality and longevity in mind. Post 102 in this thread shows a picture of my Fly Creek UL2, Love that thing: https://wayalife.com/showthread.php?8052-Show-off-your-tents&p=587109&viewfull=1#post587109

We do a lot of tent camping and recently purchased a Coleman 8 person instant tent off Amazon. It's an new in box old model from like 2011, but absolutely the best tent I have ever had. It's a 150D material, which is twice as thick, taped seams from the factory and does not need a rain fly and lot's of ventilation. Look for the single hub 10X14.

Our family has a Coleman tent that's 30 years old. It's been passed down twice and still works to this day. I believe it's an 8 x 8. Good tents.
