SNORKLEs all growed up - NEW pictures post lift

I did relocate it. It is now upside down and fits perfectly. :bleh:

And I already drilled the holes so I want to get them filled before it rains or I wash it (which I need to do).

:cheesy::cheesy: Are you putting a four wheeler winch? :cheesy:

I drilled them also. A little black RTV does the trick.

Still have to torque the bolts but I need another tool for that. And add two more bolts for the top of the stinger but my fat hands couldn't fit in between the bumper and the frame and it was getting dark so I gave up. I will tackle that tomorrow. Along with the D ring mounts.

Looks terrible! I'll drive down and take it off your hands.

I guess I will just turn this into a build thread.

Got the rear D ring mounts just about finished today. What a pain in the ass to install! But when they would go any farther I just beat the hell out of them with a BFH and said F it. I'll paint them after I trim the frame rails.

My haggard ass cut. I'll fix it later. :cheesy:

Yes its crooked. I need to get the rear stock bolts from the dealership and then I will straighten it out. That side of the frame was crazy tight so it was a pain to get it in.

It looks like you could hack some off the rear of the frame? Mine don't sit that deep, but I cannot hack any off the frame cause I welds right there.

Yeah I will. I have to pull the mounts out a little bit first. The rear holes don't line up so I don't want to cut before I pull them back out. Make sense?

I'm still trying to figure out why these all seem to sit like this. Thought it was just the way they are, but ORE last week posted a set installed on their FB page and they were flush, yet didn't appear to have had any frame mod. What is the reason for them all being short?

There not short. The frames are not all the same length and some require cutting. I can't imagine anyone is perfect without cutting.

I would say majority I've seen sit like yours or close. Everyone says they don't want to cut the welds (ala Marc). This is what ORE posted up this week. Looks awesome flush like this. Hard to tell exactly if it's cut, but could be I guess. Just wonder why they don't make a bit longer, thus easier for most to install.

I'd still buy them and just deal, but curious none the less, that's all.

The Thea about them on JKF explains everything about ten and why they are the length they are.

And mine will be flush. I don't care about cutting my jeep up.

Drinking already? :cheesy::cheesy: Didn't catch that on JKF. Like I said, I'm sure there was a reason, just not sure myself.

Was it over there in thread you can recall?

Yeah in the thread about the d rings that EVO posted. Just search EVO d ring install and it should come up.

I was driving not drinking.

Here is how mine look. So we should hack the rear welds off?
