News this morning: Those waiting for actual paper check it is being held up because Trump wants his signature on the check. Really. This cracks me up. So now it’s another campaign tool. Weird.

As has been stated the stimulus money does not need repaid. Like others said it is not taxable income. There are many who pay no taxes that will get this too, in fact they will probably get more.

Think about the income limit on the money so they are basically redistributing income. I got mine today but nowhere near the full amount. Those who pay no taxes are going to get 3-5 times more than I did.

That said enough for some sliders so EVO here I come.

Doesn't have to be paid back during normal yearly income tax filing. But it will have to be paid back by our children and grandchildren for decades to come.

Definitely agree they will be paying it back forever. The big issues is does it stimulate the economy or not. I know people are struggling and need it just to get by but if people spend their money on debt already created then it isn’t stimulating the economy that already happened when the debt was created.

STATELINE, Nev. — Lakeside Inn and Casino on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe announced Tuesday that it won't reopen after the coronavirus concerns are over. It is the first Lake Tahoe gaming property to permanently close.

After being denied an emergency small business loan to help out with finances while closed during the COVID-19 crisis, the owners of the popular locals' casino decided it was time to pull the plug, according to Lakeside Inn President Stacy Noyes.

Noyes said they were denied the loan because they were not qualified due to being a gaming establishment...

I'm sure the big casinos will be able to weather though the shit but the smaller establishments won't. So much for the 218 people they had been employing.

That’s unfortunate...it’s a small business like any other small business, I don’t understand why they wouldn’t qualify

Exactly, the government has no problem receiving tax revenue from gaming establishments.

I saw that this am, really to bad, that's a lot of people out of work for not much reason. I thought gaming was included this time around but I guess not. I submitted an application for these ppp last Friday being it's now been a month since if done any work that will produce income. While I know they are busy I'm sure, I haven't recieved any communication whatsoever, so I'm not overly optimistic as funds are drying up

Same thing is happening to the strip clubs. There's some kind of nonsense wording specifically mentioned that excludes them I believe the word was businesses involved in prurient interests.

My bank said they received 30,000 applications when I called to see what was happening with my application. :crazyeyes:
