WAYALIFE on the GO : Miscellaneous Photos from Cindy & Eddie!

I was serious.. but thought you did that.. sorry.. reading is hard. 😬

My ATT internet service went completely dead last year.. the tech came out and said ā€œGet Spectrum, there’s nothing we can doā€ā€¦ So I did. Few weeks ago ATT ran Fiber in our area… then sent reps to my door asking me to sign back up.
LOL - sorry about that. As you seemed to have figured out, Spectrum put the strips down to help prevent our new temporary cable from getting damaged.

As for the other shit, holy hell

ATT just completed fiber and has been door to door for the last 2 weeks.
Prices are no better than Spectrum for the same speeds and I noticed in some of the fine print; they throttle based on usage.
Not sure who the company is but fiber was ran through our street a few months back. Not sure when it'll go into service but as is, we're getting 500 mbps down and almost the same up with Septrum now. Or I should say, ever since getting the new line in. Holy hell it seems fast.

So, about once every 6 months or so, we totally loose our cable internet in Carson City and just like clockwork, it's been out again for the last few days. Needless to say, I called them out and when we got back, this is what we saw.

From what I was just told, there were multiple lines going to our house - something about how rather than just running new line, previous techs had just spliced in a fix or something. Anyway, this was causing a lot of noise in the line and that causes Spectrum to just shut it off. As in, turn off our service. Clearly, this has been going on for a while now and for the first time, someone finally figured it out.

Soooo, now they're running new temp line so that we have service again and then they're going to schedule a trencher to come out and do a proper fix. This after a dozen years or so of calling them out again and again
Not shocking. Why do it right the first time.

LOL - okay, just got done talking to Rick, the quality assurance guy at Spectrum and apparently, he said this shit should have been caught YEARS AGO. In fact, when he called in a second truck to help string up new line, the guy who came out said that he was just out here about 6 months ago to help trap noise (cut off our service). Essentially, it should have been fixed then
Classic example of ā€œIf you don’t have time to do it right you’ll make time to do it again.ā€
