Fortunately, our roads aren't salted here in the winter time. Sure, like most places, they'll brine ahead of a snow storm but only if rain isn't predicted ahead of it. Once snow is falling, the dump truck/plows clear the roads and spread sand or pumice. Of course, the upside of doing this is that we don't have the corrosion issues that the rust belt has but the downside is that all the streets get super dirty and it gets all over everything.

I don't even want to open my windows for any reason as all you hear is the scratching of sand on it - BLEH!

You should have seen the Duramax when I was up in NY. Took it to the car wash and three hours later it looked worse.

Sounds like my windows after the NY run once we finished Afton Canyon...haha
