Awesome that it's here in my neck of the woods. Hope to run across you at least once while you are up here, but if I don't have fun!

1. I saw the specs that the Jeeps need but is there any requirement on the quality of lift components? Or as long as you meet the jeep specs you are good to go?

All you need to do is meet the requirements even if it's done with coil spacers and a body lift. Of course, the odds that you will have trouble on the trail will be a lot higher. The more equipped you are, the more fun you will have.

2. It mentions that you need to be able to fix the jeep if anything were to break (or be handy with repairs) and I am trying to figure out what all you would need to know? Would you have to know how to work on the tranny/gears/clutch/other mechanical and even welding or could you get by with knowing how to replace axle shaft, u-joints and suspension components? I know enough to get me in trouble but would like to learn more just curious what I would truly need to know?

The JKX has guys that know what they are doing and are there to help you BUT, you need to have some kind of an idea of what you're doing as well and be already working on your Jeep by the time help arrives. The key word here is that they are there to "help" you - NOT do all the work for you.

That would be cool if we did get to meet you. With any luck, Mel will allow us to setup some kind of meet and greet.

Hey, if you get permission, I can give you my contact info. Both my wife and I would be up for a chance to meet the group and see the awesome rigs. We would take pictures for proof of course, but would promise not to disclose anything until we were told we could do so. :)

LOL!! Yeah, I've wheeled up there before and there really is a crazy amount of green! The only thing I don't like is how close together the green is planted   :D
