So this is why he doesn't care about being a thief. He doesn't have to work for shit in his life. If/when he fails mommy will buy him whatever he wants.

i am 22 years old... i am going to graduate with my bachelors and my mom set me up with a 2013 JK Unlimited Rubicon!! i found the forums from the YouTube videos and from what i can see the Jeep community is a community and i am glad that i could be part of it!!

No way! Benito is actually a very good debater here, he has done a fairly decent job at stating his case, especially against this gang of clowns :icon_crazy: All of his follow up post are quite good, and with multi-quote replies, showing he is at least well versed when compared to any of the others that got their own thread.

I don't know Benito or virtually anyone else here. Ive read his responses and will refuse to pay an ounce of homage to his debating or critical thinking skills. His entire argument is based on the premise that no one here is "entitled" to tires, sponsorship gifts, or a spot on the JKX. For that much he is right. It seems fairly obvious that no one is debating that point. The entire group accepts the random selection criteria and the uneven distribution of potential sponsor offers. Where his argument fails is that Benito seems to lack the ability to discern between "someone having the right to do something" from "someone doing the right thing". That is a bit of common sense that most diaper ridden toddlers or even those with chromosomal disorders tend to grasp rather readily in nature. It goes on to be fairly obvious that there is an implied level of honor and integrity for a participant if this event. The group here is questioning someone's character, or lack thereof. If Benito feels the need to defend this seemingly obvious oversight of honorable human judgement, I don't think its too brash to question the integrity of the poster himself. These are the types of people I wouldn't stop to piss on if they were burning to in a fire. But thats just me.

Um, GCM2's post was tongue in cheek and I can assure you he was not defending this :asshat:.

Your myopic and egocentric view of this situation is reflective of what ails this country as a whole: no personal responsibility and no recognition of how one's actions might create waves in the pond of life around us.

Sorry, but you are flat-assed wrong. When an act of kindness is met with fraud and deceit, the purveyor of the kindness is much less likely to offer similar kindness in the future.

JKX aside, it's people like you who think insurance fraud only harms the insurance company, or that white collar crime is victimless.

Go sell crazy somewhere else, we aren't buying it here.

How my opinion on this subject is relative to the whole "pond of life" is beyond me, if someone stealing tires is a world problem to you i think you need to re-evaluate your life. this is a mundane subject in comparison to the "pond of life". I believe the purveyor of kindness will be much more cautious when offering someone kindness in the future. Again how are these comparisons relative.

Are you seriously that stupid? Say it isn't so! Please give me an excuse like you have fibromyalgia, or sensory deprivation disorder, or your mommy didn't let you suckle as a babe?!? Something, anything...perhaps you got crabs the first time you played in Pubassic Park?

No normal person can be that dense. Seriously.

It is not a stupid statement, tell me why you deserve to hold a grudge against this guy.

You are absolutely correct. But why stop there? Really, child porn and rape aren't that bad. I mean seriously, the only people who have the right to complain are the immediate victims, right?

(And before you say it...no, I'm not comparing tire theft to child porn. I'm merely illustrating the complete absence of logic in your position.)

Red Herring
I am not saying what this guy did wasn't "that bad", it was wrong and that is it.

I don't know you, you may be being sarcastic, i don't know, however you are a good debater as well and seem to be the most sensible person here.

The main factor that you did not include above that Benito is missing is (I am making and educated assumption) this looser "opted in" to being a candidate to being selected. That alone creates responsibility on his part.

The fact that you pick MEMORIAL day to embark upon your nonsensical, mindless defense of the indefensible tells us everything about your character. It screams to the fact that you and the mindless sheeple are the systemic problem that has plagued modern society. On a day dedicated to pay homage to the honorable, you choose to defend the dishonorable. The sheer stubbornness to continue the debate and dig the hole deeper just proves my point further. You're been given the proverbial e-wedgie and shoved in the locker already. Why do you keep on typing? Sign off and go home.

Figures. Young, dumb and probably full of someone else's _ _ _.

Well since then i graduated, have a job, live on my own and make my jeep payments so this became irrelevant about five months ago. just letting you know.

And in no way am i defending this guy, what he did was wrong, that's that. Any person selected to go should be honorable and have integrity.

Just goes to show that anyone can go from working the drive-thru to assistant manager in less than 6 months, Ronald McDonald must be proud of you.

Lol. Wow, Latin...you must be educated. I have the right to hold a grudge because I have lived long enough, and worked hard enough over many years to support myself and my family, to know that integrity is not a sliding scale. Either you have it or you don't. Unfortunately in my line of work I get to see that every single day. I get to see how a person's selfish choices trickle outward far beyond the person making the choice, and I get to see how society pays the price. Hopefully someday you will have enough life experience to understand.
