darkknight1999's Build thread

Looks very nice! What are those two things protruding out to begin with?

As DA stated those are just the factory visor catch mounts ;)

You have some serious skills. :thumb: Any chance of getting a pick with your CB and Radio installed in you dash?

Thanks man :) Sadly I honestly haven't finished it yet… hopefully I can get that done next weekend. I have to take the whole dash apart and reform the windshield defroster tube. I've honestly been both slow in doing that because its going to take a whole day or more… and work has had me pretty busy since the weather finally got better. I have to be careful not to melt the wires in the dash when I heat the tube up.

The build looks great so far! Thank you for sharing.

Thanks dude

I'm sorta off work today, working from the house but I'm going to try and take a few hours to get the wiring done. But I doubt I'll get it all done.

Alright. Best of luck to you, can't wait to see the finished project!:rock::rock:

Well I got the fuse/relay box all wired up but I didn't have time to install it yet.

Well I got the relay and switch pod mounted in the Jeep this evening. I'm pretty happy with the way it came out.

Course I had to go and talk to Paul today and now I think I'll make another one but add a gauge or 2... lol

I wanted to use the firewall water tight connector… but it's pretty big… and I couldn't find a place where I could drill a hole that big, so I skipped it. Maybe I'll revisit that again later.

Installed the new Optima battery, battery isolation relays for both the secondary fuse/relay block and winch and the 100A circuit breaker for the secondary fuse/relay block.

Of course there are the battery terminals, ring terminals, electrical tape and so on... but this should get everyone going... if you have questions PM me and I'll give you my number and email and we can figure out what you need that way.

Oh and as for the switches and the spod I made... if you need help with either building one yourself I'll be doing a complete "how-to" over the next 2 weeks or so. So stay tuned ;)

Thank man!

Tires should be here Tuesday but I need to buy and install my lift and trim my fenders down.

So assuming the weather is good, I'll trim the fenders this upcoming weekend. Then once I get the ready hopefully I'll have put enough money away to buy my lift.

I have a few switch pods to make, so I'm hoping to get those done this week as well, if all the parts show up.
