eh, been there done that and not even because I wanted to. Totally over rated. Way too much sway, zero stability on off camber sections and nothing to hold you in place when cornering fast.



I'll bet. My CJ doesn't have front or rear sway bars but then, it's sitting on leaf springs.

Yep that's the difference between the rock types and dealing with traction issues. No other lifted rubicons could make it. First ledge is an issue.

Running it with 37's now. No problem and it drives with two fingers on the highway... unless it is like 40mph winds... then I need a full paw on the wheel.

So... no leaking, no adverse effects on pump or steering components. Submerged it with water over the tires... it did fine. It doesn't feel much different than stock on the road. It does not refuse to turn the tires when backing my trailer up, where the old box and pump would sometimes have issues when pushing the trailer uphill and backwards.

I would buy it again, I don't regret not getting a ram assist at this point. 90% of my driving is on pavement. It doesn't have any issues at this point!
Does it turn your 37s aired down and locked on the rocks?

I just replaced my springs about a month ago. I went from AEV spring which is on a stiffer side to EVO plush rides. I went ahead and found a little hill to flex my suspension out.
Believe me OP coil springs might play a little role in how much flex you get....

So let me get this straight......

There are countless videos and pictures of Eddie working on his own damn Jeeps. How many write-ups does he have on this forum? Pretty sure he restored and entire CJ himself minus paintwork. Pretty sure he lifted Renny himself. Pretty sure he rebuilt the cantilever on Rubicat himself, etc etc etc.

He doesn't attack people who have differing opinions, he simply educates them based off of his experience and real world testing. I do however have one serious question though:

Do you like your Jeep with no rear swaybar because you want your jeep to stretch like your asshole? Or because you like ripping brake lines like you rip cocaine lines?

What a person chose to buy for their Jeep is typically going to be what they recommend and a lot of folks on here have chosen EVO. That being said, people here also run Synergy and Rock Krawler and the latter more so if they live in the east coast. EVO has some of the softest springs you can get, uses high quality components and has been the leader when it comes to coil over suspension systems. Since you're in SoCal, you might want to stop by EVO and talk to them.

Once again a technical opinion question comes up and Eddie can't decide which way he swings. :)

Yes, the long arm will give you a better on road ride. But it will also give you lower anti-squat percentage which is synonymous with improving your climbing ability and traction. If you want more technical details ask me.

BUT anyway, it depends on which long arm kit you go with to get this effect. You want links that are parallel with the ground and each other as possible. Of course doing this is a compromise with ground clearance. Evaluate the options and choose wisely.
