I was reading the instructions and curious as to how long of a quick disconnect one would need and came across the recommendation of a 3/4 spacer in front.

I have been considering this kit as a swap out for my tired stock shocks and 4 door rubicon spring set up I am currently running, mostly want something a little bit softer and some new shocks. However I already have a set of JKS disconnects (0-2 inch) and some brake line brackets. Will the front shocks now be the limiting factor on articulation? If so what shocks should I be considering to replace the fronts?
Matt,. So you will not get more articulation without disconnects right? Also,. I might get some control arms will wait and see on those. Sorry for the dumb questions.

So from what I’m reading, the front shocks will limit the down travel? So therefore the stock swaybar links will be fine? Also, what would happen if you did disconnect the links?

Yeah, I have a question about this statement as well, are you saying that you shouldn't disconnect with this system? Otherwise, I don't understand why you wouldn't suggest a quick disconnect. Thanks.
No your disconnects at this "length" should be fine.
If you were to get a longer shock (and address the exhaust and get longer disconnects) that PN would be

But remember we made this an inexpensive level, adding shocks ($220) a crossover pipe ($50 plus labor if out of your league) disconnects ($130ISH)

Correct disconnecting won't do anything if the shorter shock is stop the "droop"
Correct, if you do disconnect you could damage the shocks and cause it to "blow"

Yes, it will do pretty well for a level system.
I have a pic somewhere of a 2" SPORT on 35" tires on Hamburger Hill on Kane Creek.
That has a pretty serious ledge and no issues at all.

Correct from what I recall he head to trim the air dam a tad for rubbing (we call that out)
He did say that this was the "extreme" of a trail he would go on too.
This trail has gotten pretty serious the last few years too.

Well now I have a question Rancho. A Rubi front electronic disconnect is a full disconnect. Are you saying that with this kit the Rubi disconnect should not be used because damage to the shock can occur? I don’t remember ever seeing that in any of the advertising for this kit or any of Rancho’s previous posts here about the kit.
If that is the case then I need to figure out a reasonable solution and fast.
I'm anxious to see Matt's response on this. Doesn't seem like Rancho would build a kit that doesn't allow to disconnect.
Unless the shock is really short, the front sway bar would limit the axle travel quite a ways before the shock was at full droop.
