Well damn Eddie, what about 8th grade geometry? Oh, that's right, I guess he skipped the day in his geometry class talking about the effect that weight pushing downward on the triangulation of the track bar causes the angles of the triangle to change, and therefore shifts the axle one way or another.

Or, maybe the axles stay put and the body shifts left to right [emoji848]

Okay, I know there were a few of asking about control arm lengths and whether or not you could reuse EVO arms made for a JK and this is what I can tell you. You probably could reuse the rear arms but the front arms on a JL are almost 2" longer. WhiIe you might be able to make it work, I don't think you'd have enough shank to do it safely.

MEASURED EYE TO EYE
JL Front Lower Control Arm 24-1/8"
JL Front Upper Control Arm 20-1/4"
JL Rear Lower Control Arm 19-3/4"
JL Rear Upper Control Arm 17-1/2"

JK Front Lower Control Arm 22-5/8"
JK Front Upper Control Arm 18-3/4"
JK Rear Lower Control Arm 19-5/8"
JK Rear Upper Control Arm 17-11/16"

What about if you wanted to go the other way.... use jl arms on your slightly lifted jk to lengthen the wheel base and push the front axle out a bit?

You mean so that your JK control arms are purposefully set too long and therefore causing your springs to warp due to the spring perches no longer being aligned and making them catch on your bump stop cups and causing your tires to catch on your grill? Of course, this is to say nothing about making your steering linkage be all off or your differential now being directly under your track bar causing the two to hit. In other words, it's a BAD idea unless you're ready to do a LOT of work to make it work. If you're gonna stretch, doing it on the rear would be the easier way to go.

Sweeeeet!

WooHoo - when it rains, it pours!! Got another visit from Brown Santa and this time around, he brought JET Li, our 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited, a brand new EVO MFG 2.5" JL Boost Stage 4 Lift Kit complete with shock extensions. After talking to Mel, we've been assured this kit will give us the lift we need to clear 37's and will be all set for when they come out with coils, shocks and steering components. Here are a few shots of what everything looks like
Wow thats like putting a table of candy in front of kids lol... Looks like quality componets! Can't wait to see what all you do to the new JL..
cheers

I have been looking forward to seeing this kit installed! I’m excited to see Jet Li enjoying a new stance and those new shoes to play around in the dirt and on the rocks!
