Cool. I can see it on a CJ, but to each his own.

I guess I find it interesting to be able to preserve some history and at the same time enjoy it with my jeep. Wish I had a CJ but perhaps I'll be able to enjoy one later in life. Hell I may regret it after doing it but the good thing is it's not permanent.

Finished my 8274 project and got it mounted. I opted to wire in a wireless controller which works great so far. Luckily whoever owned it before me upgraded the motor because it's not the orginal so that's one upgrade I didn't need to buy. The other upgrades I did was switched to the superchips contractor vs factory solenoids, bought a custom aluminum cover vs the plastic, and added synthetic line. I cut a piece of aluminum to cover all my wiring but it's kinda an eyesore. I think I'm going to try and cut another piece so it covers the wires more on the sides and see if I can lift up on the control box to level it out. I was able to cut off my fairlead off my bumper and add the mount that came with the winch. Can't wait to use it and see how well it performs

Have been wanting to add some rock lights for awhile but my budget has seen slowing me down while I plan for my lift. Found these led strips on Amazon for the cheap and seem to light up the ground pretty well. Hope to really test them out soon. Also added a new wayalife decal to the hood. 20190303_203709.jpg 20190303_203726.jpg 20190303_203745.jpg 20190303_203545.jpg

I failed to see the 4 gauge wiring on my winch while I installed it so I bought a set of 2 gauge power cables and installed them this weekend. The previous was also short and had to feed through my grill. I went with quick disconnects as I plan to buy a set for jumper cables later for convience from having to open the hood each time. Not necessary but it was the same price has a regular set so why not.

Big thanks for Jmw015 for sending me this metal grill insert. Looks great vs the plastic diy I had. 20190331_125430.jpg 20190331_130734.jpg

Found a set of painted flares and a grill for cheap on my way home from hot springs. Buddy of mine sold me a set of weldable front lower control arm skids. Just have to decide if I want to paint to match or just keep it metallic.

Installed and trimmed the fender flares. My cuts were pretty spotty so I just used some plastic trim and looks great. Nothing ground breaking but love the fact I don't have to deal with the faded plastic ones anymore. 20190413_214522.jpg 20190413_214533.jpg 20190414_003611.jpg 20190414_003618.jpg 20190413_214559.jpg

Been busy servicing the Jeep and installing a lift these past couple weeks.

Replaced all brake pads on my dynatrac progrips. One of the slide bolts was seized on one of my rears. Never seen that before. It was hell getting it free and I regreased all my others and apparently will be doing this every change.

Installed 32 spline rear axle shafts by revolution to fix my bent flange. Unfortunately one of the studs that secure it to the axle flange started spinning so I had to get it tack welded.

Changed oil and transmission fluid.

Installed my lift
Evo 3 inch plush coils with 1 inch spacers
Rancho 9000 shocks
Syngery front trackbar relocation bracket
Clayton offroad rear trackbar relocation bracket
Syngery brake relocation brackets
Draglink flip

All I have left is the evo rockstar skids and find a driveshaft when mine dies. Going to have c gussets and front lower control arm skids welded in a few weeks also.

I also finally found what was causing my vibrations while driving. Turns out it was 2 of my tires. I had them balanced 3 times but I noticed after replacing the shafts the driver rear was wobbling while driving. Replaced 2 tires and vibrations are all gone. 20190525_140352.jpg
