Smokey needs some V8 power.

If everything goes right the body should be removed by tonight. I'm hoping to take some photos in the morning.

Tonight's the night for separation. Here are a few photos from today:

The viewing pleasure on this forum, in respect to the two badace LS motor installs, is simply out of control! And to think these two get to play together.. How fun

You think this will void your lifetime power train warranty? :cheesy:

Looks badass! I'm comin up for a rise along when its ready! :thumb:

Things are happening now. Just like on Moby my EVO sliders will have to be cut off in order for the lift to get under the pinch seam. This is how the body will be lifted.
Most of this work happens after the engine shop is closed for the day. The swap team works after hours. I should have more photos tomorrow.

Separated!

Next will be removal of the engine, transmission and t-case.

Random question: Why didn't you cut the sliders at the frame as opposed to out at the outside rail?

It was easier to cut through them at that point and when they are reattached a sleeve will be inserted in to the tubes with some rosette welds to secure the sleeve and then welded around the tubes when they are reconnected.
