Thanks for the pics. Really like that they are of the Rubi X because I really like that hood. Amp'd is still one of the top colors on my list, but will have to see it in person to decide for sure.

I don't have the patience to wait that long hahaha. Ordering starts on the 9th so I'm gonna order my 14 rubi. Hopefully the dealer will work with me and let me back out and order a different color if I don't love this one. I think like dune, it would toughen up a lot with a black grill, a black top, black fenders and black wheels. On this particular one its a tad too much, a similar symptom suffered by crush, dozer and gecko.

That much yes but I would be willing to bet it would be like the geckos and look awesome built up with armor.

2011 JKU 3.5 R.E. Longarm lift.

Its not the amount of the color, it's the color. That's why I need to see it in person. It reminds me too much of this in the picture.

Obviously not the same but that's what I first thought of. Lol

I was really hoping for the 8 speed auto trans in the '14. Not sure how the A580 is in the JK, but in my '13 WK2 Trailhawk Grand Cherokee, it seems to get confused at times, downshifting when it doesn't need to, and not down shifting when it should. Most of those issues are fixed by selecting Sport mode on the selec-terrain knob, and obviously the JK doesn't have that. I love the 8 speed in the 300 and the '14 Grand Cherokee.

Meh, waste for a vehicle with a top speed of 90mph. I prefer the strength and the reliability of a tried and true 5 speed. They use this transmission (the 8 speed) in 212mph cars. I don't want a truck like feel of shifting every 10 mph.

Not really about top speed. More about the engine staying in its power band much more often. In the Grand Cherokee w/ the 8 speed, the tach stays pretty much in a range of a few hundred rpm when accelerating.

An 8 speed will do the opposite. What you want is something like BMWs programming where the Jeep stays in a gear longer, resulting in better acceleration and better MPG. Putting in more gears will result in the Jeep constantly upshifting to keep the RPMs as low as possible, which will provide the EPA excellent MPG numbers in a lab, but horrible MPG in real life. I get MUCH better mileage in my rig manually (I have an auto) holding a gear and sitting at higher RPMS than I do letting the engine lug along at 1400rpm. People often forget than RPMs don't actually have anything to do with MPG.
