Should a Jeep Dealer change the gear sets?

Should a Jeep Dealer change the gear sets? I don't know if companies like 4 Wheel Parts could do that kind of work.

With the exception of a handful of early 2007 2-door JK's, all other JK's do in fact have Dana 44 rear axles. However, there is a difference between the Rubicon Dana 44 and a Sport/Sahara/X model Dana 44. The later will have shafts that only have 30 splines but, will have the benefit of having equal length shafts. Rubicon's have 32-spline shafts but have a driver side and passenger side shaft that are of different lengths.

4 wheel parts will change it... and for an extra fee will warrantee their work for 5years or 60,000 miles with a no questions asked, you break we fix...

I have that on my full pr44 and my rear d44 gears and lockers.

I was going to mention the weird bastard 07 JK's, but I was too busy arguing about 60 axles all day, that I figured I wouldn't mention the aberration that was early 07.

LOL!! Yep, gotta love the good ol' Dana 35. If we didn't have one in our old 07 2-door that became Vengeance, I don't know if I would ever even remember they existed on a JK at all. :crazyeyes:

Here's a question I haven't seen answered. I'm looking at rings and pinion sets with the addition of an install kit which seems to run in the 300 - 400$ (maybe I'm missing something) but what kind of price average do I have to look for including installation for a gear swap?

Don't follow me, I'm lost too! O|||||||O
