Sorry, these retarded fanboys just bug me to no end.

When Quadratec had a slush mat that was defective and could potentially slide forward and get under the brake and accelerator pedals to prevent them from functioning properly, they made an open apology, issued a recall to every customer who bought them and replaced it on their dime. Of the thousands that were sold, I don't know if I ever heard of a single incident on the internet regarding a death or crash or anything. This is what makes Quadratec a stand up company. Of course, based on TeraFlex fanboy logic, there clearly was never a problem being that you can't find posts about it on the internet :rolleyes2:

This is comedy. Your opinions are great. Just provide facts and specifics. That's it. Not that difficult. Still waiting for personal experience. We still go back to its made in China and crap. There are pics on the Internet of the factory one breaking when somebody backed into a phone pole. Does that mean it's crap.

I could care less about Teraflex or how I spend my money. If the previous folks installed the product wrong and it broke whose fault is it? I agree, the best customer service is the one you don't need. Unfortunately in the real world, shit happens.

It appears from the comments that all of you bought one and it broke. That's terrible.

I really was just curious on what they picked?

Oh, crazyeyes, glad I could change your mind. Ha ha.

Too bad. I saw some pics of it on the post. Pretty serious issue if one were to break. And although I'm just a newbie here, the pictures I saw of the break looked like a product problem not an install problem, IMO.

We still go back to its made in China and crap.

Well, that it is a FACT that they are made in China and based on what I have personally seen, it is crap just like their long arm bracket and their front track bars and their rocker guards. I'm sure you'll continue to believe whatever it is you want to believe but I simply can't make this shit up. There was a time when I used to work with TeraFlex, allowed them to advertise on my website and even had my Jeep on display at SEMA with them. I no longer chose to associate with them due to the quality of their products and the way they choose to BLAME their customers for breaks on them.

There are pics on the Internet of the factory one breaking when somebody backed into a phone pole. Does that mean it's crap.

There are pics here on this forum of MULTIPLE TeraFlex tire carriers breaking and the very first one happened to my friend while he was driving down a dirt road. This is on the link I've posted and yeah, that proved to me that the TeraFlex tire carrier was crap.

I could care less about Teraflex or how I spend my money.

Could have fooled me.

If the previous folks installed the product wrong and it broke whose fault is it?

Spoken like a true TeraFlex fanboy. God forbid they would ever be wrong about anything. I just wonder who's fault it is when TeraFlex themselves install one of their products on their own Jeep and it breaks.

Maybe for a guy like you who chooses to buy shitty products. In my real world, shit can be prevented.

Don't need to have bought one to have seen one break. God forbid that someone like me would share as much with others looking to buy one. :naw:

You realize that they weren't actually installed incorrectly, that's what Teraflex said was the problem....nevermind the fact that they quietly added an extra gusset to fix a non-problem right? Its a product that's inferior (cheap sh!t soft steel) and unnecessary. The OEM hinges are just fine, and the OEM carrier is just fine. Teraflex also dropped the rating of the carrier for no apparent reason....not something you do when you have "no problems." You want it, buy it, but do all of us a favor and keep an eye on it, so that you don't kill anyone. As for validation, the consensus is that it's an overpriced sh!tty product, when for the same money, you can have a quality american made 1000X more useful AEV carrier that actually works....but hey, that's none of my business.

I think it would be horrible for all involved to have one break. Yes I have one, and yes I'm concerned. I check it often and look for any evidence of stress.

At this point it still works. Any pics, emails from Teraflex, or any other supporting info would be great.

Unlike the TeraFlex fanboy who's been posting up, I have seen my fair share of tire carrier fails just over the years. In addition to the TeraFlex breaks, I have seen a Poison Spyder tire carrier break and to the point where the spare did fall completely off. I posted up about it and got hated upon in a way that I haven't seen since... well, since I first brought the TeraFlex tire carrier breaks to light. Fortunately, Poison Spyder was a stand up company and they owned up to it right away, made a public apology and fixed the problem. Before that, I had seen a tire carrier made by a company called Finishline West completely break off and to the point where the carrier and spare fell to the ground. These clowns went out of business. Of course, these are just JK tire carriers I have seen fail but hey, what would I know. The resident TeraFlex fanboy here has been driving for 40 years :rolleyes2:

You really need to read what Eddie posted. I think he more than provided proof.

Plenty of great advice, facts, & personal experience offered on the TeraFlex tire carrier as to why it is NOT a good product, yet still ignored & overlooked. The arrogance of some!

Mine does not look like this. I have only seen this pic on the Internet. Maybe mine has been corrected but I will continue to watch it.

As far as the name calling, you can back off. It's really not necessary.

So you're asking Eddie to provide proof that he received from Teraflex themselves about their carrier's breaking? Please tell me that was a typo.

Those were just ones I could find at a glance.

Great, that's all I ever asked of you - to keep an eye on it for the sake of others.

As far as this thread goes or ones like it, I'll continue to inform people of WHAT I HAVE SEEN and discourage them from buying TeraFlex products based on it.
