Front XD60 Order: Missing anything before placing order?

The DTD definitely has the cool factor, but as Eddie has mentioned more than once, it's benefit is not realized unless you are bombing the desert. Not that the 1480 wouldn't hold up, but do you need the DTD living in North Richland Hills vs. out west and have you considered an Evo Pro coilover long arm and getting the axle you need? I don't have a dog in this fight. Just trying to lend some experience from my past mistakes.

I get it and really don't need it. Do I need anything on my jeep though, probably not lol. Moby and 1000's of other people run the prorock60 with the 1480's with no problem. Not like I'm getting an inferior product, I've chosen to go with a tricked out 1480 so I can have enough room to place a dual shock combo, like the DTD.

I could go to the XD60 and move away from the dual setup. Go to something like the Genright Elite kit or something custom.

That brings up a good question though, has anyone seen a DTD setup on a XD60 1550 at 68.5" width?

No doubt a bad add setup. Good luck with your project and let us know how it goes. I'm saving for a similar axle configuration.

Ordering on friday but had one more follow-up question.

Its been suggested to order clear tubes with no brackets due to Dynatrac using 3/16" brackets vs. a more HD 1/4" bracket. Also mentioned was that I could have more control over the placement up front vs. having to adjust where dynatrac puts the brackets.

My gut says go with Dynatrac brackets. Thoughts?

I would definitely go with at least 1/4" with weld washers and bracing. 3/8" brackets would be even better.

What suspension system do you have?

It's been suggested by who?

Previous page has a couple people. Several local shops and on other forums report that 3/16" brackets from Dynatrac bend.

Again, my gut tells me to just go with exactly what Dynatrac uses and then upgrade if ever needed. 3/16" shouldn't bend at the mall as I"m not a badass wheeler

So this is the final build sheet that I'll be ordering.

Called Dynatrac and decided to add the prosteer ball joints. Got my completion date also! 9/18....with an order date of 7/19, it's not terrible waiting.

It arrived!

Picked the axle up on Friday and uncrated it on Saturday. First words that came to me was "damn this thing is massive"!

Final build was..

XD60 w/ 1480 outers
8x6.5
5.38
ARB
Stubby hub kit
Extreme .31 tubing upgrade
Prosteer Balljoints
Big Brake kit
Chromoly 4340 inners and outers

The only thing that I've noticed is that my trailready beadlocks do not just slide on very easily, not sure why but going to try again with another one of my wheels.

So heres how she sits right now...

I had someone make an offer on my tires/wheels so, for the time being, I went back to stock which makes the Jeep look like a clown car. The "problem" of being in a big transition phase.
