2014 JK Wranglers

Hmmm that looks a little too gold for my taste. Ill have to go to the dealer to see it in person.

x2...Im not digging it based on the pics alone.

Well its hard to tell who is "ridin dirty" him or this guy?

An 8 speed will do the opposite. What you want is something like BMWs programming where the Jeep stays in a gear longer, resulting in better acceleration and better MPG. Putting in more gears will result in the Jeep constantly upshifting to keep the RPMs as low as possible, which will provide the EPA excellent MPG numbers in a lab, but horrible MPG in real life. I get MUCH better mileage in my rig manually (I have an auto) holding a gear and sitting at higher RPMS than I do letting the engine lug along at 1400rpm. People often forget than RPMs don't actually have anything to do with MPG.

Typically, on other transmissions, I would agree with you. You really need to drive one to see. The '14 WK2 Grand Cherokee, with the Hemi or the 3.6, shift very fast and smooth. It picks the right gear all the time in the one I drove. Easily one of the best shifting transmissions I've had experienced. The spike in fuel economy people experience over the 2011-13 WK2 kinda show how efficient the 8 speed is behind the 3.6 in the '14 WK2. I would just like to see it in the JK eventually.

Sneak peak from a loading yard worker...this is ampd.

That's surprisingly a really cool color. Not sure I'd get it but it looks better than I thought it would.

Time to make people drool...this is hydro blue pearl. I'm normally not a "blue" guy but god damn this is one sexy color.

In case anyone is wondering, this will be one of SEVEN (yes you read that right) special editions. This is the polar edition in European trim.

Not a big fan of Amp'ed, glad I went with Anvil.

Finally finished... ha, well for now.

Did you do some paint work on the doors?
PS rocker panels and sliders?
35in TG's?
What kind of wheels?

No paint work or rocker panels, may be a shadow. I installed LoD rock sliders. 37" Goodyear Kevlar MT/R's. with 17" Hutchinson Rock Monster Beadlocks, color Argent.

Like the sliders. I'm still trying to decide on if I want to got with LOD, PS, EVO, or a custom fab set that would be similar to EVO.

Right there with ya, been in "D" status for over 3 weeks now, have more parts sitting here waiting and ordered than I know what to do with!

Thats because you probably ordered after that month's allocation has been closed, so you were rolled over into next month. For instance, I ordered on the 6th. The Sept. cutoff is Sept 17. Any orders placed BEFORE the 17th will be scheduled for this month's production, and delivery will be in early late sept/early october. If you place the order AFTER the 17th, your build gets pushed to the october production schedule, and you will take delivery in early November. 1 day makes a difference (16th vs 17th.)

Ordered August 23rd, was told "sold" orders are not part of the monthly dealer allocations and get priority. My dealer says it's supposed to be here by the end of September. Also seeing lots of orders on the interwebs where the VOTS system is way behind and not accurate, folks getting their JK before VOTS is even updated. Seems IAMJEEP has better accuracy but this whole process is kinda like watching a pot of water and waiting for it to boil, we'll see, it will get here when it get's here, I just keep racking up more parts and a bigger bill as I wait, ;)!

They had to call several dealers within 50 miles before they could locate mine. All I wanted was a JKU Sport.. lol but now I'm coming up on 700 miles and I love the 6 spd!!!!
