Ok, for those that are wondering about the 3w eagle eyes for reverse lights, here's some nighttime shots. They work really well for what they are.
I went with a 3 per side configuration.
JAGS, hope this helps!

I think this is a very cool idea. :thumb:

That said, I also really like rear lights on the carrier (for those who run a carrier). It allows for a 90* pattern to help with setting up camp in certain circumstances and you can put on yellow lenses for dust lights. Not bunking what you did because it is very cool...just consider the benefits of adding some additional but less discreet lights too.

I agree, just haven't installed my carrier yet. I will be installing some lights on it also for that exact reason!

Thanks. Those are some good pics. Appreciate you taking the time.

Just an FYI. I was looking at these lights earlier. They (now?) have a white version. They would blend in seamlessly, if it matters.

I think I'll be picking up some silver ones. I already have reverse built in to my Maximma lights, but these would be wired separately.

Thanks for the info. Didn't know that. I'm gonna check it out! Thanks for the heads up!

This is what I'm leaning to do. It's why I wanted to see the throw. The "discreet" eagle eyes for camp lights or extra reverse if ever needed. They seem perfect for this as not overkill.

Then I'm going to throw some rear ambers. Still deciding where to mount those and what lights. I like how MTG has his bookending the center EVO. Took me forever today to find them in his thread. Thing needs a table of contents. Lol. Also like the ambers at the top of EVO corners like TTFHELL and Strainger have.

Lol. All you had to do is ask. I'm pretty sure I picked the spot and did the wiring (although I may have been three sheets to the wind.)

Yeah, I suppose that would have worked too. That thread is fun to page through. Lol. I think I prefer them like MTG vs some others on the outer part.

So I mounted my carrier this morning, here's how I did it.

I mounted the top driver side bracket first, one with the hole that it's made you go in, then I matched the passenger side upper with the driver side bolted it on. I used to saw horse and I mounted the carrier on the top brackets with a saw horse holding it up. I then used a rod from the top to the lower and leveled everything up so the holes lined up. I drilled the holes and mounted the lower brackets. At the very end I took a block of wood and smacked the two brackets on the driver side to open them up a little more to make the carrier open and shut easier. I made sure my brackets were far enough forward to miss the pinch seams. Came out great.
