Going to a Long Arm.. What can I expect?

Yes.. I'm on Page 6... This is good info, but I could say the same things about AEV too.. I have yet to find much about the Alpine CT4 system.. Hopefully there will be something on that system. Lots of "IT's Junk" without much substance.. I'm sure there are people out there that HATE Warn and ARB and accuse them of being cheap chinese products too.. Thus is part of life.. I am not dealing with 4WP, but they sure get a lot of HATE on this thread.. In my neck of the woods they have the best mechanics for Jeeps.. Yeah, wrap your brain around that sh*t.. Their sales guys funny, but if you can get past them, you are good to go.. I've been to 4 different shops trying to figure out all of the vibrations i've experienced with the AEV kit and 4WP was the shop to get it figured out.

Ok.. Can any of you answer my question regarding what I can expect after the install of a long arm kit? I'm not looking to get into a thing about who likes what.. I posted the same question on another forum, but if you aren't talking about Budget boosts, seat covers, or LED lights, you aren't going to get much.

Also, if you have any recommendations on a quality 4" LA suspension, please let me know.

Any long arm kit (including the dog shit made by teraflex) will create a shallower control arm angle (that is closer to parallel with the ground) that will provide a more comfortable ON ROAD experience. That's it. No cocaine, no hookers, no porn star penis. Just a better on road ride. So spend your 3,4,6, 10 grand and tell your friends about it :thumb:

What was the cause of the vibration?

Because they sell shit products that break like a gumball machine toy. Just because the sales chick has huge knockers, your best interest isn't what they care about; you don't get a free motorboat with your purchase.

Let's start here: What size tires do you plan on running and what do you use your Jeep for primarily?

The Jeep is on a 2.5" lift and i'm currently running 315's KO2's. I have a D44 F+R w/ ARB's 4:56's, axles, HD Trackbar, Drag Link, Tie Rod, etc.. Her playground is primarily Tillamook State Forest.. I plan on hitting Rubicon or Moab this year and the one i didn't hit the following year. I want to be able to drive there and back without tearing my spine apart..

Sounds like swapping out your springs and possibly your shocks would solve your problem and save you thousands of dollars at the same time.

If your staying with 35s, you could run an Evo leveling kit for 200ish bucks and be done with it. Sorry, big hooters not included though :grayno:

It was caused by a caster corrected axle paired with AEV GEO correction brackets.. at 65mph it would vibrate and sound like it wanted to shift into an additional gear.. It was mind-numbing..
I replaced just about every component I could chasing it down and then out of desperation took it to 4WP.. Of course, the sales guy said i needed adjustable upper and lower control arms.. I thought.. Couldn't i just remove the GEO brackets? Yes.. Vibration gone.

I had no idea that my axle was caster corrected as I did not perform the work.. That is where my capabilities end.

I personally would not recommend AEV either.
Nobody I know would talk smack about WARN.
ARB makes great products.

With the TeraFlex kit, you can expect to blow out bushings and maybe tear a bracket from the frame.

EVO MFG DoubleD is what I would recommend.

It is what Cindy and I have been running for years and has performed the best of all the long arm kits we've seen.

You’re being fed bullshit. Don’t listen to everything you hear. You are dense in the head and won’t listen so I am done with this thread but take my advice and don’t believe everything you hear.

Man I smell so much hose shit about teraflex being the best thing since sliced bread right now it isn’t even funny. If there was one thing I regret buying for my jeep it was everything teraflex. Shit was junk

So 4WP DIDN'T solve your problem. They just wanted to sell you more shit like they always do. You solved your own problem with <gasp> logic. Congrats to you. 👍

A F**KING leveling kit!?!?!? Are you being serious?!?!?

Dead serious. You're running 315s (34.25ish diameter). This isn't king of the hammers shit. This is average white guy show-off shit (no judgement). You need no more than 2.5 inches of lift to attract the ladies with your 35s. If I'm missing something, let me know.

Now, if you've got several grand burning a hole in your pocket and insist on long arms, fucking buy that shit! Paint them a bright color. Every brighter color on the color scale adds an inch of penis length! :thumb:
