Jeep introduces Gorilla glass

Just cause I hate to see a good thread die I had to catch up again.... Hahaha

The reason the Ford GT and Bimmer ( ) i8 have gorilla glass standard is because they reduced the windshield thickness on both those vehicles by about 50% to reduce vehicle weight. So they used gorilla glass to try to make it as strong as if they had used normal glass at the regular thickness.

Dealer requires proof of purchase. Yeah because it’s either not on your Jeep, or because you snuck into the parts department, put in a bogus order, snuck back in after it showed up at the dealer and took it home without actually buying it but now want to make a claim for replacement????

so , here is a update on the Gorrilla glass that's installed on two Jeeps that I know. both have chips in them. One was about 2 weeks after install. all chips are about the size of a m&mS. one stone should have been worse from the sound it made he says. both have had the chips for a while and they have not cracked at all. so maybe that's the advantage? they are going to let me know if they crack.
