My Daughter's "JK" Wagon

So I noticed some surface rust forming on the cold roll steel body so I had to disassemble and get some primer on it even though it's not finished. The final color will be Stone White. The olive drab color is the color of the etching primer I used. That will be followed by a white sanding prime and then the top coat

Wow, I thought I did well making my girl Pottery Barn replica furniture. I wish I had thought of that! Now my kid is 13 and wants to drive her Liberty that is stored in the garage. Enjoy because they grow up fast! Excellent job!

My latest updates:

My dad stopped by and I finally got a chance to get all of the parts attached to the body (fenders, bumpers, and rock rails) with the help of a second set of hands. Sometimes there just isn't enough of the right kind of clamps to hold things in place.

The other major step was getting the frame finish painted and assembled. I ended up going with an etching primer followed by a black sanding primer and topped off with a rattle can bed liner for a little texture. It was really exciting to see this together as a rolling chassis.

Made more progress today. Far from done but it is really starting to look like something now.

Got the white on.

Next was to mask of all of the white so i could get black in the places where i wanted it.

Now for the real fun. It was finally at a stage where all of the parts could come together on the chassis.

And, of coarse, another test fit of the baby girl.

Subscribed this is turning out wonderful. Wish I had talent like that. As she grows up you can turn it into a electrical power wheels setup and then and actual gas engine setup. I'm with a majority of the subscribed people I would like to buy one looks like you just invented a side job and extra income.

So cool! The white looks great. Those rolls bars will work perfectly as hand rails when she starts to stand inside while riding. Bravo sir.
Save those drawings/renderings/diagrams!

Thank you again, to all, for all of the kind words.

I am having a ton of fun building this wagon and sharing it with this community.
