Looks like the wife and I will be up in the Ouray/Silverton/Telluride area, looking like the last couple days/first week of September. We will be spending some time with family, but if anyone is up there would not mind meeting up for a trail or two.

My wife, pup, and I will be heading to Ouray, telluride, Silverton, Moab the week of July 31- Aug 7. Planning to hit all of the trails listed (black bear, engineer, Poughkeepsie, Imogene, Cinnamon, Ophir, etc).

We have a White 2015 JKUR on 35's. If you will be in the area, we wouldn't mind meeting up with fellow jeepers..

I know this is my first post on Wayalife, but I've been a follower for a LONG time. Also, on Jk-Forum.

I'm attaching a few photos of our jeep (and one of my pup, Jake, and I). If ya see us, flag us down, or send me an IM, we wouldn't mind company on any of the trails while we are there!

Thanks

Imogene Pass as of July 3rd, 2015

Unfortunately, The top half of Yankee Boy Basin was closed according to a BLM sign due to soil preservation or whatnot. We were in Ouray for the entire 4th of July holiday. 5th year in a row. The family loves wheeling there and we managed to hit everything except Poughkipsie Gulch and Blackbear.

Too bad it's not a week sooner, we are heading there the 17-21st. Hopefully everything will be open.

Our first night 17th will be in Durango then trailing to telluride and Ouay!

We are leaving Oklahoma on the 18th, heading out to eat at The Big Texan in Amarillo Texas. Then driving to Santa Rosa, New Mexico to spend the night. Then drive on into Durango on the 19th. We are traveling with my boss and his family. They have a two year old so they want to break up the trip going out there into two days. We will do the same coming home.

Maybe we'll cross paths! I'll post our trail plan a day or two out once we have everyone together

All you guys planning trips to SW Colorado, the roads are starting to get plowed and opened up... Here is a video of current conditions of Engineer Pass road as of this past Sat. Plan for July and Aug, and Sept. are better road conditions for family travel.

SIGN ME UP! I believe we are doing engineer on the 18th. Can't wait to get some cool fresh air instead of this hot humid crap in louisiana

Sounds like a lot of us are gonna be out there just a few days apart. I'd say most, if not all, trails will be open by end of the month.

We are thinking bout taking last two days of our trip to go to Moab.. Just not sure we want to wheel in 110 degree weather. May just stay in CO thy whole week instead.

What CB channel do most Jeeper's in the area of Telluride/Ouray use when running the trails? Any thoughts?

Black Bear Pass and Imogene completed today... There was a freaking FJ Cruiser "jamboree", held up everything a bit but they were great people. We'll be on Poughkeepsie, Cali Gulch, and Cinnamon Pass tomorrow if anyone is in the area!

Awesome! So how was the Bear?
That's called the FJ Summit. It's around that this time every year. I have a friend that is there every year. I wait for him to get back and see what he wins from all the giveaways that he don't want that I can use on a jeep.

Black Bear was backed up because of the FJs and some Jeep renters going the wrong way. It wasn't too hard. It was definitely the FJ Summit causing some back logs.

I always try to go to CO before or after the FJ summit because of that reason.
Black Bear is not hard just has some pucker factor. So what else are/have you ran?
