Vendors...the good, bad, and ugly of your experiences purchasing with them

I've been treated good from Quadratec and never paid shipping.
Bought 3 sets of tires from Americas Tires - this last set I had a 1/2" bolt Drive through between tread blocks the day I had them installed and they replaced it no questions. Took the flat one, called three days later when the replacement arrived and stayed open an extra 15 minutes until I could get back into town, put it on the swing gate for me mounted, aired up and balanced.
Moparsupercenter.com (Rick Hendricks) was quick, beat everyone's price and no shipping charge also.

Edit: here is the bolt...

Northridge is great, David, the president, emailed me back and forth a couple times when I asked him during JKX why he had a Jeep involved in it and he wasn't there. He stated he was his sons football coach and didn't want to miss anything, man I respect him for that.

Off Road Evolution is pure awesome with prices, shipping, and returns when needed. Never got a sticker though

There is a local place I can drive to called Baseline Outfitters that is great to deal with, Super people!! They make their own DOT approved stainless steel brake lines for +2", +4", or any custom length you need called Toxic Brakes. I think they sell about anything normal, not like EVO or Poison Spyder type stuff but Rugged Ridge or JKS type stuff.

I have ordered from Morris 4x4, Extreme Terrain, Quadratec, 4WD, and the 4 Wheel Parts store in El Paso Tx. All have been great, offered Military discounts, and I have received free shipping from all of them. The best vendor I have consistently worked with that stands out in my mind is Discount Tire. I have purchased tires from them for a while now because their customer service have always been top notch to me, and they have gone the extra mile to make a life long customer out of me!

Great idea for a thread by the way!

Need to add another. Rough Country has awesome customer service as well!!!

I could not DISAGREE more, but I'm glad they helped someone.

Amazon is the bomb! One of the guys down here ordered a lift, I wanna say Rancho or along those lines and the kit was missing quite a few parts (nuts, bolts and a control arm or something) anyway...he called Amazon and told them what was up, within a few minutes of calling they said they were shipping him another kit, he asked for a return label and they told him don't bother just keep what was in the kit he had for spares. The kits was probably 95% there!

I love Amazon, plus they good prices on gun stuff. :)

Amazon does rock! I've gotten so much from them way cheaper and fast delivery.

Ordered my lift, tires, wheels, and front bumper from Jason at Krawl-off-road. They have great customer service, he went over my order to make sure I had everything I needed and even suggested I order a couple things from quadratec that he didn't carry. He drop ships everything but will find out if everything is in stock before he processes your order and will let you know if it's not. Can't say enough about how easy he made spending a little north of 5k.

This is the best I can do right now. Still have to cut my pinch weld and rock rails before I can flex it out.

Poor Form

I would like to tell you guys about a vendor that is not a sponsor here and I can now understand why,
Its kind of a long story but here it goes,
I have a friend who is the manager of a shop here in Australia he is in Brisbane in the east coast and Brisbane is the third largest city in the country, now by comparison it is not that big compared to what you have in the states, Brisbane has 1.7 million people and the Gold Coast (where I live) is 45 kilometeres to the south with approximately 700 000 people.
My friends shop has the ability to make approximately $50 000 a month, and it has done this on many occasions.
He mostly specialises in Jeep but will do work on anything.
Jst recently he went to the US for a meeting with Jeep Jamboree USA.
Now before he left I told him he should get a vendor from the US and sell their products here in Australia, we talked about who it should be.
Now Offroad Evolution is distributed by SBR here in Australia and Vic is a really good bloke and he has got it all sewn up, and because he is a good bloke we did not want to approach ORE.
SBR is on the west coast of Australia and there is 1 major city there, but he ships all over Australia at good prices.
Here on the east coast there are 5 major capital cities.
So we thaught of a vendor that sold an array of products, so we thaught Rebel Offroad would be good because of this reason, and the owner had previously live over here and had toured a lot of this country.
My friend is the only person outside of the USA that has permission to run and conduct Jamboree type tours, he has the permission to use the Jamboree title from Jeep Jamboree USA.
While on his trip to the US he was with a friend of his that owns Outlaw Jeep Tours Moab, and they were at a jeep thing somewhere (I dont know where).
And he was introduced to someone at Rebel Offroad.
A conversation took place and it was established, that the Rebel Offroad employee said that they would not be intrested in having an Australian distributer, because get this, Australia is too far away.
Now keep in mind that Australia is second to the USA for sales of Jeep Wranglers in the world ( or so I have been led to believe).
Either way I was not happy to hear that someone whould say something as stupid, to someone that is wanting to sell their products.
I could undersatnd if we were a town of 10 000, but this is Australia, 23 million people and with approximately 19 million on the east coast, Im sure that a business that makes approximately $50 000 a month would be able to move some decent amount of product.
But anyway this is my gripe about that vendor.
Hope you enjoyed my little rant.

So, let me see if I have this correct. Your complaining about a situation (and a company) that YOU do not have any direct involvement in?

You do realize that Rebel is primarily an install shop and dealer for other manufacturers and not a manufacturer, right? True, they do manufacture a few products and are now starting to produce their own lift kits. But to come on here and claim that Rebel is in the wrong by not wanting to distribute products Down Under seems like a stretch. Wouldn't you agree?

Perhaps I did not word it correctly, I do have a direct involvement as I am a guide for the company I am talking about, correct I do not work for them on a full time basis, but what I was trying to get across it that if you were a vendor and person with a company that could possibly assist you with selling more products and widening your client base internationaly, I felt that an answer from an employee of the company would be a little more than " We are not interested Australia is too far".
I was just disapointing for me to hear that from a friend who factored into his trip to the US to meet a representative of the company and get that kind of reaction, when every time we have been to the US have come back and talked about how welcoming and friendly the people we have met were towards us.
After all this is a post for telling people what kind of experiance has been had with a vendor, good bad or otherwise.

I hear what you're saying, but am still confused at what exactly your friend was expecting from Rebel. What exactly did your friend's shop want to sell that Rebel makes? Aside from a few small accessory parts like grab handles and HID light kits, Rebel is mostly a dealer of other company's products and are an install shop.

Wouldn't your friend be better off approaching the actual manufacturers (if he hasn't already) rather than an existing dealer? He'd be able to make much more of a profit by dealing with the manufacturers directly, agreed?
