I think the inside of the wheel wells look great when painted black. Gives it a very finished look. How much extra HP do you think the stickers gave you? My guess is about 15, maybe 20. [emoji6]

What!? The dealer promised me 27.47 extra HP :cheesy: But I can definitely feel the difference :wings:

Popped off the top of the gear shifter knob and thought the sticker had to go on the inside (under the clear plastic) It doesn't go under... Just stick it on top. Doh!

Anyway - job done and I think it looks alright. Seven slot battalion logo.

If that's almost ready then I guess my rig would never be ready! Looking great

Hehe. Thanks. It was almost ready because I still needed to put the Firestik flag pole holder on. Otherwise it has been ready for quite a while.

Now I can wheel in the dunes without being hit by other cars and they can see me on the other side of tall dunes. It's a requirement by many local clubs here.

Now do I go with red pirate?

Or black pirate?

I kinda like the black pirate, but what if someone mistakes it for an ISIS black and white flag and fire a missile after my ass -lol-

Maybe I should get something completely different.. Hmmm... Anyone ordered custom made flags?

Took it for a test drive today, to make sure everything was tuned in. Went fine, except for the rear pinch seam. I thought I had cut it enough... Nope!

The enforcer lift kit worked great with the king shocks. I'm still not sure what setting I want for firmness. I've so far had them at the softest setting and I wanted to try it in the desert. I was fine, but maybe I should set them a few clicks firmer, when offroading.

This is the pinch seam issue I ran into today.

I thought this was sufficient space. But I heard a few scraping sounds from that area, and I saw a bit of the paint was missing. Tire was fine, and I stopped soon after. Now off to find a garage that can cut and weld.

Found a place after 2 km. It was cheap and effective. And I literally got to see my car ON FIRE! Not for the weak hearted.

The black spray paint plus the foam inside the seam was quite flammable when the guy was cutting. No big deal for the guy and a bit of water helped. Hehe.
Passenger side was cut with an angle grinder. ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1466513423.941101.jpg ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1466513450.167999.jpg ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1466513469.897189.jpg
Then finally a few steel plates were cut to fit the holes and everything welded nicely together plus a bit of black paint. ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1466513551.115605.jpg
That should do it. I guess I'll know if enough was cut next time I'm in the desert.

I had the same exact problem when I first ran my 37" cooper STT pros. Thought I trimmed enough and then got out on the trail and found out other wise. Luckily I had a 4 pound sledge that I was able to gain plenty of clearance with. Plus it didn't leave any sharp edges like the Sawzall did.

Added a few 5.11 Molle pouches to the rear panel.
I just need to find some of those quick fists for the shovel.

And put all the tools in this duffle bag. Still trying to find a good spot for the hydraulic bottle jack - its a bit too tight where the original scissor jack was..:hmm:
