Starting to Look Like a Jeep Again!
Okay, so Cindy and I have been working on Jane ever chance we get and now we’re closer than ever to getting her to paint. We stripped her down about as far as we could go without doing a full frame off restoration, we Raptor Lined her bed, made repairs to broken and missing body mounts, installed all new body mounts, cleaned up a myriad of parts, stripped them of their paint and got them looking new again. We also cut the mess off of our factory roll bar, cleaned it up and got it powder coated, took apart the dash, filled in all the stupid crazy holes that the previous owner drilled into it and got it ready for paint. I also took some time to take apart, clean up and repaint the speedometer cluster needles, re-plumbed the heater, re-installed the cleaned up battery tray and all before unpacking all the new Omix-Ada parts we got and started to install them. After all that, Calamity Jane is finally starting to look like a brand new 1974 Jeep CJ5 Renegade again. To see more pics of all the work we’ve been doing, simply click on the link below:
